The Asansol Collegiate School has been founded by Raniganj Institute of Computer Education, an educational Society. The Society has been formed by distinguished personalities who have made their impact in their respective filed. The Society has been conducting B.B.A. (H) and B.C.A. (H) degree course affiliated to The University of Burdwan of afterward KNU at the "Raniganj Institute of Information Technology" (RIIT) at Raniganj since 2001-2002.
The society had been in charge of the "The Asansol Girls College Computer Training Centre" since 1996. There the members of the society gained hand on experience on teaching Computer Application of B.Com / 3rd. Year degree course under the University of Burdwan & H.S. Computer Application and Computer Science.
